Our emergency retrieval service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, delivering the finest care to more than 330,000 Australians each year — that’s one person every two minutes. In addition to aeromedical retrievals of the critically ill or injured, the RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential primary and preventative healthcare services, including telehealth, mental health, oral health and health promotion.

Aircraft maintenance services on offer at the aerodrome include general electrical, paint and panel, radio maintenance and CASA regulation maintenance programmes. There are seven providers of aircraft maintenance services at the Toowoomba City Aerodrome.

There are several of fully restored and functional warbird aircraft located at TCCA including T-28 Trojans, a T-6 Harvard, Yaks, various Bi-Planes, a PT-17 Stearman, CA-25 Winjeels and a Nanchang.
There are three providers who supply aircraft training including Darling Downs Aero Club, Aerotec Queensland, and Team Aviation.
Darling Downs Aero Club has been providing practical flight training in Southeast Queensland since 1946. Until recently, this has primary been for the issue of CASA Pilot's Licences. In January 2021, we increased our capabilities to offer training for the Recreational Pilot's Certificate which is issued by Recreational Australia Aviation (RA Aus).
Aerotec Flight Training commenced official operations in November 2003. Chief pilot and instructor Matt Handley who has over 9,000 hrs instructing and over 10,000 hrs flying.
Matt gained his pilots licence in gliders at 17, with his commercial licence following soon after. Matt has a wide range of flying experience from gliders and small fixed wing aircraft through to warbirds and vintage aircraft.
